Hey Brand Boss,

“Everything is saturated.”

I hear this all the time.

There are already thousands of clothing brands.

Thousands of coaches.

Thousands of photographers.

Thousands of creators.

Thousands of agencies.

Thousands of people selling something similar to what you want to sell.

So what?

A crowded market is not a reason to stay out of it.

It is a reason to get better at positioning.

You do not need an empty market

Too many people think the opportunity is finding something nobody else has thought of.

That sounds great.

But most successful brands are not selling something completely new.

They are selling something familiar from a different position.

The product might be similar.

The service might be similar.

The category might already be packed.

But the perspective is different.

The audience is different.

The experience is different.

The story is different.

The reason people choose them is different.

That is the game.

Saturation exposes weak positioning

If your brand only works when nobody else is doing what you do, you do not have much of a brand.

You have an open lane.

And eventually somebody else is going to enter it.

Strong brands do not depend on being the only option.

They give people a reason to choose their option.

That is positioning.

You are not trying to convince people that competition does not exist.

You are making the competition matter less.

What strong brands do differently

Strong brands know exactly why they deserve to be chosen.

They understand who they are for.

They understand what those people care about.

They build a perspective around that.

They create an experience competitors cannot easily copy.

And then they communicate it relentlessly.

You can sell the same category of product as ten other companies and still own a completely different position in the customer's mind.

That is where the opportunity is.

Not in escaping saturation.

In becoming the obvious choice within it.

Quick Win

The Choice Test

Put your brand next to your three closest competitors.

Now remove the logos.

Remove the colors.

Remove the clever tagline.

Ask yourself:

Why would someone choose me?

Not because you care more.

Not because you have better service.

Not because you are passionate.

What specifically makes your brand the better choice for the person you want?

Your perspective?

Your process?

Your audience?

Your experience?

Your point of view?

If you cannot answer that quickly, your customer probably cannot either.

Do not run from the crowded market.

Give people a reason to pick you in it.

Before you go

Everything is saturated.

Fine.

Start anyway.

You do not need to invent a new category.

You need to build a position people can recognize, remember, and choose.

Because the goal was never to have no competitors.

The goal is to make the right customer look at the options and think:

I want that one.

If this resonated and you are ready to refine your brand at a deeper level, reach out.

Serious inquiries only.

With Purpose,
Victor Luis
